Bicycles to be welcomed aboard
Amtrak Pere Marquette trains

Up to 16 bikes per train; reservations required

WHAT: A media event and open house as Amtrak and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) announce an enhancement to Amtrak Pere Marquette trains, operating daily between Grand Rapids and Chicago. Amtrak passengers traveling can bring their bikes along for just $10 each way.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 11 (all times Eastern)
           10:00 a.m. Media availability opens                 
           10:15 a.m. Presentations
           10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Open house

VISUALS: Passengers loading or unloading their bicycles into the baggage car/control unit

MORE INFO: For the first time, passengers can travel with their bikes between Grand Rapids and Chicago, along with the stops in Holland and St. Joseph-Benton Harbor.
