We are planning a bike trip in North Carolina and West Virginia leaving Michigan on August 1^st and returning August 8^th or 9^th.

The first two days of riding (Aug. 2 & 3) will be on an organized ride in Lake Lure, NC.  The ride is the “Cycle North Carolina Mountain Ride” sponsored by North Carolina Amateur Sports.  Cost for the two day ride is $145 prior to July 1^st and $195 beginning July 2^nd.  (www.cyclenorthcarolina.org)

We will then travel by car to Lewisburg, West Virginia to ride on the Greenbrier River Trail for approximately 4 days (unpaved).  Trail information states that “fat tire bicycles are easier to ride”, but we will be riding road bikes. We will be camping but understand that lodging is available.
